I'm Blue About Blue

No, not about these asshats for once. Its about the new SKINS.

Coming soon (no TM here, they are on SiSi) are the new ship skins that look, well, awesome. Now my favorite colour is blue. Most my work shirts are blue, my ties are blue and the wife always jokes about me and the colour blue.

There are some blue skins coming this month with the new ship skinning system to be released in the next expansion. So I should be happy right?

All awesome. So I'll love the new Kador Archon right? No. Its blue!

Wait a second Drackarn. You just said you really like the colour blue and this Kador Archon is really, really, really blue!

I know. I cannot explain it. I think it is because it is an "official" Amarrian House. CCP Fozzie appears to disagree with me.

It should be gold in my mind! The golden fleet! At Fanfest we were told that the art department are working on skins that are not tied to in-game NPC corps. Skins that just look good and not Quafe, Lai Dai, Wiryrkomi etc etc. Now a blue Archon in there is fine, a capsuleers blue Archon. I just cannot get my head around an official "Amarrian NPC" blue Archon. Its just.... wrong*. I know all the counter arguments. I know that I'm wrong. It's just... a blue Archon?????

*in my head anyway!

P.S. Yes I know Gallente ships being blue is also somewhat wrong. But.... blue Archons!!!

Hunting a Stabbed Farmer

Just before I was due to head to the pub with a member of the CFC to watch the Liverpool game on Saturday, I thought I'd log onto Eve quickly. As the screen loaded I noted that the system was contested. Usually this means someone is plexing right now as there are enough of us to keep the system stable.

Sure enough there was one Frog in local. I opened zKillboard to see what he like to fly. It was not good. I saw red. So much red.

Either this guy was a very bad PvP'r who didn't know when to quit, or was a farmer. I looked at recent loses. I guessed farmer for some reason...

So I opened my hanger and looked for a suitable ship. It needed to have three long points as he'd probably be sat away from the warp in. It needed long range guns for the same reason. It didn't need prop mod as he didn't use them. So I was left with this fit:-

I undocked and scanned through the Plex open. None of his usual ships were showing up. However there was a Quafe skinned Tristan. Would anyone farm in a Quafe Tristan? May be?

Now I was stuck. The Kestrel I was flying would kill a stabbed farmer, but against any PvP ship I'd die horribly and create a cringe-worthy lol-mail. I decided to risk it and warped to the plex. Upon activating the gate I looked for a suitable celestial. If it wasn't the farmer I'd need to GTFO very quickly. Thankfully it was the farmer sat off 20km from the warp in.

Of course like many stabbed farmers he wasn't paying attention. I got point on him and he lazily recalled his drones. Why rush he must have thought? A long point Kestrel is not a problem when you are stabbed. With his drones recalled I'm guessing he hit warp an was soon screaming "Warp off..... warp off? WARP OFF?"

My triple long-point Kestrel had him. Whilst my DPS was poor and had no tank he had already admitted defeat by not launching his drones which would have been an issue. Then again could he even target me back at that range with twin stabs? He just sat there as I killed him. Hoping for the pod express, he left his pod for me to point. As with all stabbed farmers, I only pointed and waited. After a few minutes he realized I wasn't going to kill him and give him a free ride home, I was just holding him to waste his farming time. He activated self-destruct at this point. Being ready for this, I activated my stopwatch which I had ready on my phone.

Just before the two minutes was up, I popped him.

We really need to sort out warp core stabs in low-sec. Add a 80% damage nerf to all damage types to them and problem solved. Industrials and transporting/travel fit won't be affected and stabbed farmers won't be able to kill the rat and farm!

SCASSSS - SKINS on the Test Server

The new SKINS system is on the test server. Currently to apply a different ship skin you have to do the following:-

  • Buy blueprint.
  • Go to manufacturing.
  • Add blueprint and ship hull.
  • Received skinned ship.
  • Cry when your skinned ship is killed and you spent all that money plus its an extra 200m ISK to your T1 frigate loss mail.

The new system is better. SKINS you buy and inject are permanent and do not get destroyed.

Buy them on market from players or direct from the NeX:-

Inject the SKIN license into your head:-

Change between any skin you own via the ship fitting window in station:-

Or swap in space giving gradual change visuals similar the cloak effect. Here I am swapping my skinned Chimera back to a normal one......

Brew Eden - Amarr vs Matari

Fiction Friday! Escape pod here!

The idea for this sprung up at the Fanfest charity dinner where the New Eden ales were for sale.

Brew Eden - Amarr vs Matari

Babanulf strode into the brewery owner's office confidently. He had no idea why the owner wanted to see him but he wasn't concerned when the message for him to report to the office came over the announcement system. After all he was the Master Brewer at the Pator Galactic Brewing Company and had created an enviable reputation throughout New Eden. At 42 he was the youngest ever Master Brewer in the history of the company.

As he approached his bosses desk he saw the elderly Matari man look up and regard him warmly. Babanulf sat down in the leather chair opposite.

"You wanted to see me?"

"Yes Babanulf. I know this breaks protocol, but we need you to create a completely new beer for a special occasion'"

Babanulf's expression soured instantly.

"You know I can't do that." he growled.

Enaef stopped himself rolling his eyes. He knew exactly where this was going. His Master Brewer was a bit of a diva.

"The spirit guides come to ME." Babanulf continued "They guide me in making any new ale. I cannot go to them."

Enaef sighed. He'd expected this.

"Well thats a shame as Folvik will be asked if you turn it down."

Babanulf roared with laughter at the name of his so-called competition. The Master Brewer in a rival company was well known as a poor second place within the Republic.

"Folvik? I can piss in a pint pot and make a better drink than he can brew" Babanulf laughed.

"Yes. We all agree." Enaef said solemnly "Which is why its going to be tragic when we lose to Adaz Afon"

There was a loud crash as Babanulf leaped up from his chair sending it crashing to the floor. He leaned over his bosses desk with his trembling arms bracing his torso.

"WHAT?"

"Its for an ale brewing competition. You know the annual capsuleer conference in Yulia system? Well CONCORD have asked each government to send a new beer for the conference delegates. The Republic wanted you to create our entry as they cannot let the Amarr beat us in this. But if Folvik is creating the Matari entry, then I fear all is lost."

Babanulf spun around and stomped towards the exit.

"Where are you going?" Enaef asked.

"To kick the spirit guides up the fracking arse and make a new brew to drown that Amarr scum in." he huffed slamming the door behind him.

Enaef leaned back in his chair.

"Op success" he smiled to himself.

Acolyte Malaka made his way down the rough stone corridor stopping at a thick wooden door. He rapped on the wood twice and waited. Whilst it hardly made a sound on the heavy thick wood he knew the occupier would hear. The monastery may have looked old but it was as modern as any starship. Discreet electronic systems such as the sound amplifier hidden in the door made the monastery high tech whilst looking ancient. After a minute the door swung open by itself and Malaka entered.

Adaz Afon was stood by a long table, resplendent in his golden robes. At his feet a young Matari man lay still, his face a bloodied pulp.

“Glory to the Empress and the Empire Master Adaz.” The Acolyte said. There was no reply.

Adaz took a sip from a pewter tankard. He spit the liquid onto the body by his feet in disgust. He flung the tankard with all his might against the prone mans head. The beaten slave hardly moved. Adaz then kicked him hard in the ribs.

“Fools! I am working with fools!” Adaz cried. They cannot do the most simplest of tasks. I need better sub-humans than what the Empire is providing. I cannot work like this.”

“Of course Master. I will request new slaves with brewing experience at once from High Command.”

“No! You will do no such thing. I need slaves who haven’t been tainted by their heathen brewing practices. That is why we are getting this hybrid-Matari slop!” he emphasized his point by kicking the prone Matari twice more.

“If the Empyrean's prefer the sub-human's brew we are all doomed. I doubt the Empress will even bother sending soldiers. A Revelation class dreadnought will probably be enough to purge our sins with cleansing light.”

Malaka swallowed hard. He knew his Master was right. To lose a CONCORD organized competition to the Matari Republic would be devastating to the Empire. Losing against the Caldari or Gallente would be shameful but unlikely to get their monastery nuked by orbital laser fire. They had three months to produce a brand new ale in quantity and ship it to the CONCORD HQ station. So far all the initial new beers had not been up to standard.

“We cannot take any chances. Send word to the Cleansing Department. I need to talk to their Master.”

Malaka nodded and left to relay the message. He didn't dare question why the Master Brewer would need to talk to the head of the Cleansing Department. The name was some what misleading. They didn't clean the monastery. They trained people to clean things up. Things such as enemies of the state. What did a brewer want with an assassin?

-o0o-

Babanulf walked around the grand hall with a massive smile on his face. He'd done it. With a whole month to spare he'd created a spectacular new ale. The Matari Rust Rinse, and it was good. The party that was being thrown in his honor but it didn't have any of the special ale. It was too guarded a secret to let anyone have access to it. It was to be the ale that beat the Amarr and nothing could stop that. The tables were full of his past successful brews.

"Master Brewer Babanulf?" the feminine voice behind him asked. He turned around to be confronted by one of the most beautiful Matari women he'd ever seen. She was a Sebiestor, somewhere in her mid-20's. He tried to look her in the eye, but the revealing outfit and shapely body meant he couldn't help looking her up and down.

"Yes, miss....?"

"Guvera." she replied holding out her hand. He took it and shook it gently marveling at how soft her skin was.

"I know everyone on the guest list, I don't know you." he said.

"I have a confession" she replied biting her bottom lip "I gatecrashed. I'm from a major Matari beverage distributor and was hoping to talk to you about an exclusivity contract for Matari Rust Rinse after the Yulia convention."

Babanulf silently cursed his colleagues. Could they keep nothing confidential? He was the Master Brewer and didn't deal with sales. However he had to keep this beautiful creature talking.

"Is there somewhere we can talk privately?" she purred as if reading his mind.

Babanulf smiled, slipped a hand around her waist and led her to a side door.

-o0o-

Adaz approached the long wooden table. Half a dozen Matari slaves were busy preparing ingredients with old style scales and silver measuring spoons. At the head of the table were three tankards full of ale. None of the slaves dare look up as the Amarrian approached. He picked up the first tankard and took a sip. He swilled the amber liquid around in his mouth before spitting it out into a bucket. He did the same with the second and third tankard. Even if any of the slaves had dared to look at him, his expression would have told them nothing.

Slowly Adaz circled the table slowly. He sensed each slave tense as he passed them. He could feel their fear in the air. He finally stopped behind a young Matari woman who was carefully measuring out portions of yeast. He watched her trembling hand. Yeast fell from the spoon as she shook.

"I fear our brews are too yeasty. Would that be your doing?" Adaz said in an even tone. The young woman shook even more, the spoon emptying of yeast before it got near the scales.

He stroked the back of her head with his hand like a father would. She froze.

"My dear. You need to be more careful with the yeast. It is critical that the portions are right."

With that he grabbed a fistful of hair and slammed her head down onto the table. There was a pained yelp and a sickening crunch. He pulled her head back up. Several slaves gasped as they saw her broken face, blood streamed from her exploded nose.

Adaz smiled and slammed her head into the table again.

"THERE WAS TOO MUCH YEAST!" he screamed. He was now repeatably slamming the poor slaves face into the heavy wooden table. "HOW AM I EXPECTED TO WIN WITH YOU SUB-HUMANS MESSING UP CONSTANTLY."

He continued for a full minute. Finally he held the young woman up by the hair. She was barely alive and her face was now a bloody pulp.

"Let this be a lesson to all of you. I will not accepted mistakes!"

A scrape of a chair being pushed back sounded... followed by another, and another and another.

-o0o-

The gorgeous distributor pulled back from the kiss into a sitting position on top of the Master Brewer. Babanulf smiled as she pulled her blouse over her head. So what if he had no say on sales. She wouldn't know that until weeks down the line. Yet he still would have had a stunningly beautiful woman half his age. So what if he led her on? He hadn't technically lied to her. If she made assumptions that he influenced commercial decisions at the brewery that was her fault not his.

She leaned back, still on top of him and unzipped the side of one of her black knee high boots.

"You can leave those on" he chuckled.

"I just need to unzip them" she purred.

"Why?"

"So I can reach my knife." she replied with a smile before suddenly driving a dagger at his chest.

Babanuif only just managed to get a hand up in time. He deflected the blow but only slightly. The dagger sunk into his chest alongside his nipple. He'd done enough and the knife had missed his heart. He instinctively punched forward, his immense fist connecting with her jaw. There was a snap and she flew backwards onto the floor.

-o0o-

Malaka entered the room. The imposing figure stood there with his back to him. He cleared his throat to let the man know he was there.

"Acolyte Malaka?" his voice boomed.

"Yes Inquisitor. I am here to serve in the Glory of her Empress and the Amarrian Empire."

"Was it usual for Adaz Afonto be alone with groups of slaves?" the Inquisitor asked, still facing away from him towards the brewing tanks.

"Yes it was. It was unthinkable that a slave would do anything against the Master. The thought one might raise a finger against him was... unthinkable."

"All the culprits and witnesses escaped?"

"Yes Inquisitor. Only the two bodies were found here. The others had fled."

"This was where the dead slave was found?" the inquisitor pointed to a spot on the large wooden table. A large black stain remained where Adaz had pummeled the woman's head into the wooden surface.

"Yes Inquisitor."

The Inquisitor finally moved, walking forward to one of the huge brass brewing tanks.

"And the Master was found... in here?"

"Yes. Our medical staff believe the other slaves over-powered him and drowned him slowly in his own beer."

"And yet I hear someone tried the beer before he was found?"

"Yes Inquisitor. Our lord truly works in mysterious ways. We believe the Masters thrashing oxygenated the excess yeast and balanced it out creating a rather spectacular brew."

The Inquisitor just nodded.

"If the ale wins the prize, then you will be very right. Our lord does work in mysterious ways."

-o0o-

The brewery owner stood over the hospital bed. Babanuif lay unconscious, a deathly shade of grey. Most of his hair had fallen out and his whole body shook. A sheen of perspiration covered his body.

"There is nothing you can do?" he asked the doctor standing beside him.

"No sir. The blade was made of a plutonium isotope alloy. The weapon was covered in break-away micro teeth that were designed to break off during a stab and infect the victim. This was no ordinary knife. This was an assassins weapons designed to kill with even a minor wound. It won't be long now."

Enaef muttered a silent Matari prayer for the dying.

"And the woman?"

"We'll probably never know sir. She was a clone and had a prototype Templar implant. She was never intending to get out alive. We suspect she wasn't even Matari. Could be any race, a conscious implanted into a body designed to seduce our Master Brewer. We believe she attacked first and Babanuif got a lucky punch off. He snapped her neck in one blow. However, she had still stabbed him first. Her mission was complete."

Enaef pondered who would do such a thing. He didn't need to ponder long. It would be a few days before he got word that his prime suspect had also died the same day, slowly drowned in vat of Golden Fleet Lager.

Structures In Low-Sec - Random Speculation

The high-level concept ideas shown at Fanfest and in this Dev Blog have got a lot of players talking. Mostly this is about how they will destroy WH space. Well its on the internet, it must be true.

I've been thinking about my space, low-sec, and how they may change our scenery. Obviously I don't know anything more than the next player. We are far too early in development to have any concrete plans so this is all wild speculation. CCP have already said the various structures, different sizes and services are likely to be linked to security status. For example, here are two examples I've heard that I think we will not see.

Goons setting up a XL office with market next to Jita and buying ALL THE THINGS in Jita 4-4 then reselling at a mark-up at their structure next door.
That is some quality Tinfoil-Hatting. Taking the extremely unlikely scenario that CCP will allow XL Office Arrays and Local Markets in high-sec and topped with a nice sprinkling of "Grrrrrrrr Goons".

Observation Array adding local chat to Wormholes
Nope. Don't be silly.

So what about low-sec?

I think we'll see some things that are not allowed in hi-sec but won't have access to the full range like null-sec will. For example I think we'll have offices available, but not sure about hangers. Within faction war this would be a powerful mechanic for system capture.

A brief run through of my thoughts on structures and low-sec.

Assembly Array
Yes, pretty sure we'll see these in low-sec. I expect to see a bonus to using them over high-sec and low-sec NPC facilities but they'll be more expensive than the null-sec equivalent. I imagine you'll not see super-capitals being produced in the low-sec versions however I wouldn't rule that out 100%. Super production could be allowed, it would just be hideously expensive. Who wants to make a titan in low-sec when it costs 50% more than in null? Another route might be you'll need an XL array for super production and they might set it so the biggest assembly array you can anchor in low-sec is only a large (for building carriers and dreads)? Finally there may be a super-capital construction "service" that needs to be fitted to the array and that module is tied to null only.

Labs
Again I think we'll see these and the same balance as above. They'll be better than high-sec and NPC low-sec stations but they will not be as good as null-sec facilities. Risk vs reward will flow this way although I think that many areas in null are significantly safer than low-sec. You stick your lab in Tama or Amamake and it'll be at more risk than a Goon structure in the middle of CFC space.

Market and Offices
Now we get a bit more tricky. As I already mentioned the ability to have a serviced hanger would be a very powerful mechanic in faction war. You could restrict anchoring of structures to the militia that controls the system but people would just use alts. I think we'll see something in this line of arrays for low, but I expect that the services that can be offered to be severely restricted. However they could open up some systems for "colonization". Teimo is a back-water, dead-end system off Kedama without a station. Only reason to go there currently is for faction war plexing. May be a corporation who has the cahoona's to run the Tama camps might want to base from there after they can anchor a "mini-station". Of course Snuff will turn up and kill it eventually, but its an option!

Drilling
We'll certainly see these at least for moon goo. Same as above with risk vs reward. Refining and reprocessing will be better than high-sec and NPC low-sec facilities but not as good as null.

Observation Arrays
A tricky one! On one hand low-sec is still Empire space so they are unlikely to allow those. However, as per CCP trailers "the Empires are losing their grip on power....". The cloaky identifier has a lot less use in low-sec as we don't have the carebears moaning about AFK-cloakers. Would be funny to see Tama and Amamake on the starmap with zero kills in the last hour!

Gates
I'd be shocked to see these in low-sec in any real way. With gate structures, CCP implied they weren't just talking about the large stargates but also pirate gates, acceleration gates and even potential replacements for jump bridge networks. I doubt low-sec will have much choice in these. May be there will be some anchorable in low, it just may be a limited number of small pirate gates. Generally I expect this set of structures to be mostly null-sec and the "new space" (and no, I very much doubt WH space will see them).

Admin
A form of Admin Array will be available for low-sec to replace the iHub and as I recall POCOs? We can expect faction war to switch over to entosis links for iHub capture whilst maintaining the plexing mechanics... for now.

Yes, I think we'll see these in an around low-sec. Corporation adverts will likely be common replacing the good old anchored can. I would also suspect we'll see corporations living in a system to tell people "This is our turf boy! Come at us bro!". The old "plant a flag" many low-sec groups have been asking for over the last few years roundtables. Doesn't physically do much, just a bit of epeen shaking.

So that's my take on structures and low-sec. Given the early stage we are at, all the above is wild speculation. Then again what would the Eve community be like without wild speculation!

Leaked Screenshot Implies Local Is Coming to WH's

This image doing the rounds appears to show that the new observation array structure WILL add a local channel to wormhole space!!!

Fanfest The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Final Fanfest post from me giving a quick roundup (as two weeks off work means I'm super busy this week and have limited time)...

The Good

Most things to be honest. I had good chats with CCP Seagull, Explorer and others and Eve seems to be really on the right track.

The awesome community is still awesome and was great to finally meet some fresh faces for the first time like Rixx and Niden to name but two.

Reyka vodka.

The eclipse.

The new shop. BEER GLASSES! POSTERS! T-SHIRTS THAT ARE COOL AND REASONABLY PRICED!!!!

Drinking A LOT with other Eve nerds.

That Eve Valkyrie "trailer"

Tweetfleet hats from General Stargazer!

Chilling out in the blue lagoon.

This dude's T-shirt.

The Mittani - For an evil space overlord he his extremely friendly and approachable!

The Bad

NO EVE MOVIE MORNING! SERIOUSLY GUYS!

No new Permaband song. Although Killing is a Means is a tough act to follow. I hope CCP Guard follows up my suggested title for the next song - Boom Bitch!

The queue at the Eve Shop. 40 minutes being jostled by nerds. FML.

March Icelandic weather. It took my Tweetfleet hat from me :(

Not being able to get sufficient kebabs at the charity dinner buffet.

Those players who took way too much time with niche problems and bugs at the roundtables. "What happens if I complete a level 5 skill whilst jumping through a gate in a capital whilst injecting a booster, dropping fleet and changing corporations?". The CCP guys faces usually said it all.

The Ugly

The players who just didn't get Eve and want to be able to mine safely..... with no PvP.... in null-sec.

The cold.... it was so cold.....

I've already covered the major of the ugly from Fanfest in a post last week. Basically CCP give high-level concept ideas and suddenly everyone is doom-saying...

CCP Fozzie - We are going to look at the role of supercarriers.
Super pilots - FOZZIE IS GOING TO TURN OUR SUPERS IN LINK-SHIPS!

CCP Ytt.... The French Guy - Here are our high-level ideas on structures in the game.
WH Dwellers - ZOMG! CCP are going to destroy wormhole space by adding local, docking and cloning to it!!!

Hilmar - Welcome to Fanfest.....
Eve Players - NOOOOO! Hilmar is going to destroy Eve by saying hello to us....

All in all an excellent Fanfest and looking forward to 2016!

MOAR Fanfest Pics

Got home at nearly midnight Thursday night. Whilst at Fanfest I had a great idea for a Friday Fiction I need some time, which is something I've not had in the last two weeks. Fiction back next Friday, for now, more fanfest pictures starting with some funnies.

I thought of this meme so got Lexx Jonlan to recreate it with me.

Post pub crawl...

Of course the big news of Fanfest was Sindel and Bahgi didn't make it. I 'helped' out by editing a C&H cartoon.

As a Caldari militia I was 'gifted' one of these. Thanks guys -.-

This is Why We Cannot Be Told About Nice Things

So that is Fanfest over. Back in the UK for a couple of days before heading back to the sandpit. I want to talk about a couple of things at Fanfest which made me, well....

No names here, you know who you are. This is why CCP are so scared to tell us anything and seriously dumbs down some of their presentations. Here is a conversation I had at the Party on Top of the World.

Person - So did you enjoy Fanfest?
Me - Absolutely. It was brilliant. You?
Person - Well, not so much with CCP destroying wormhole space and all that!
Me - WHAT? I never heard this, whats happening?
Person - They are adding local to wormholes.
Me - What? I cannot believe that. CCP know that will be against everything wormholes stand for. When did they say this?
Person - Well they didn't. But those new structures will add local to wormholes.
Me - What? Where did you hear that?
Person - Well didn't hear it as such, but.....

After a bit more questioning I got to the thought process of this corp who were all convinced that local would be added to wormholes. They were all really upset!

1. The Observatory Array is all about intelligence gathering.
2. Local chat is a good source of intelligence gathering.
3. Ergo, the observatory array will add local chat to wormholes.

Nothing I said could convince this guy otherwise. Even when I used the same thought process that they had used to show there was potential for the new assembly rays to construct space kittens with fricking laser beams and ruin Eve, he still did not see it.

Even though he admitted CCP had not even mentioned local chat at any of the structures presentations or roundtables his group were 110% convinced this would happen and destroy WH space. When asked if this very worried corp (who are utterly convinced that CCP are going to ruin their game) posed the question at the roundtable which was right after, no, they didn't go. They went to watch the Eve Valkyrie competition and thought it best to whine on the forums.

My wingman even pointed out some sections of the Dev Blog. They mention THREE times that these are high level ideas that need a lot of work and feedback.

Even CCP Ybe.... Yybi.., Ytt,,,, CCP The French Dude said....

"Observatory Arrays focus on intelligence gathering and disruption tools, like tampering with Star Map filters, D-scan disruption, ship intelligence disruption, player tracking capabilities or being able to pinpoint cloak users"

And from the specific Observatory Arrays and Gates Thread....

"We are planning on some of the structure to be placed in W-space yes, the exact type and numbers are up to discussion based on the gameplay consequences they are going to have there. It all depends if we feel they're going to negatively impact this area of space or spice up gameplay.
Edit: and I'm referring to all the structures here, not only Observatory Arrays and Gates."

A bit later at the party I was talking to a member of CSM X. I told them this story and they said they had someone say something very similar.

Person - OH WOE IS ME! CCP FOZZIE IS GOING TO TURN MY NYX INTO A COMMANDSHIP!
CSM X'r - What?
Person - Fozzie said they are going to look at the roles of supercarrieres. Therefore he's going to turn my Nyx into a link ship.
CSM X'r - Riiiiiiiiiight........

Its quiet worrying that we jump to these conclusions. Actually if you spoke to Fozzie, one example he gave (of some high-level brainstorming) was like Battlestar Gallactica. In the middle of the battle using massive flax cannons to defend other ships. Now I bet as some super pilots read this they are jumping to conclusions again. Oh no! Fozzie is going to turn my Nyx into a point-defence ship! IT IS THE END OF EVE!!!!!1!!1!!!!

All this is going to negatively impact Fanfest. Anyone remember Fanfest 2013? The one after the original PoS rage? We heard bugger all that year because of the hassle CCP got from players following 2012. So please, stop jumping to conclusions and flying off in a rage. Stop a dev, ask them the question and smile when they look at you if you are trying to troll them with your question!
