Eve Online - Gorgeous

Manic week! Speaking at an international conference, heavy workload and social life hits Eve and blogging time for wrecking! No idea what I'm going to do for Fiction Friday. For today, how often do you just turn off the UI, remove the interface, and just marvel how good Eve looks?

Yeah.... I'm under pressure atm in real life. Sue me ;)

  1. I have always hated the usual view of EvE... the tactical view of white, blue, yellow and RED crosses and boxes and such... I get it, and I do use the tactical view in combat and during ops, but I have always hated that we have to give up the beauty of this game for tactical expediency...

I have always used a dual screen setup unless I had no choice... when traveling and such. A 22" screen for the game and my laptops 17"screen for blog, browser, Word, etc. I knew I could have stretched the game screen across both but I never felt, due to different sized screens, that it would have worked well plus I expected I would have an issue if I ever had to go back to just a single screen...

Then I tried it... and I was wrong and I was right. I can stretch the screen across both but I was able to make it work even with the difference in widths... and work exceedingly well too... and I was right, I HATES going back to single screen... I hates it I do.

So I fly EvE like this all the time now... I have all the 'data' windows on my laptop screen and just my ship, ship controls, and locked targets on the 22" screen...

Of course, the game still plays on the laptop screen and I usually have all the data windows opaqued so I still 'see' whatever is happening off to my starboard side, as twere...

Check out http://turamarths-evelife.blogspot.com/2014/01/how-i-see-eve.html for screen shots of how I See EvE... all the time... ahhhhhhhh... =]
